PETERSFIELD AREA CHURCHES TOGETHER  (PACT)

The number of our PACT churches is now ten:  alas, we've lost the Friends, who used to meet at Winton house.  So now our ecumenical group consists of:  All Saints, Steep;  Methodist Church, Station Road;  St. Lawrence RC, Station Road;  Life Church (Petersfield Christian Fellowship), meeting at the Methodist Church;  Salvation Army, Swan Street;  St. Mary’s Buriton;  St. Mary Magdalen, Sheet;  Petersfield Evangelical Church, who meet at Bulmer House, Ramshill;  St Peter’s;  and the United Reformed Church, College Street.

We meet six times a year, pray together, and support and partner nearly 20 organizations in the area, ranging from Holiday Club, the King's Arms, the Christian Ecology Group to Home Start Butser and Christian Aid.  Is there someone in this congregation who would join me in representing St Mary’s?  I have to say that it would be a lot more enjoyable if it were a job-share;  and the enthusiasm of Christians from other groups is inspiring.  Your challenge for 2010 is to find out about at least one of the linked groups, to talk to someone in them and come back and tell us in St Mary's so that we can feel more involved and committed.
