FUND RAISING
2009 was a better year: three car boot sales (£1,215);
Buriton Fireworks for 2008 and 2009 (£300); Buriton
Events for car parking at the Christmas Fair (£500);
Maggie Johnston’s bike ride for the Historic Churches
Trust (£305); and Charmian Reeves’s teas (£77). Many
thanks to everyone who helped in these activities. The
PCC has decided not to hold car boot sales in the future
mainly because of the competition they are facing on
bank holiday Mondays. It is most grateful to those many
people who gave their time to run them in the past and
to its partner, Buriton Tennis Club, which, with others,
is believed to be considering future options.
